Indiana confusion

I live in Michigan. My husband and I work in Indiana. My husband filled out a form with his work to have michigan taxes pulled out. I requested the same on mine but there wasn't a form. His w2 showed an amount for local tax (road tax) and we would get a credit on our michigan state but we would have to also file the IT40RNR. Not sure how to fill that out as unsure if all of his stuff on W2 is Indiana or MI. Could anyone help me with this? Since mine says MI as well, but the locality also says MI, not sure where to put all this on the IN form. I went thru taxact and turbo tax and both came out different on how they fill out the forms. One gave me a $7 refund. The other site, nothing was filled out on the IN and the credit for the local tax paid never appeared on the MI form. Was told by MI IRS to put the local tax on line 18a and 18b and go from there. Any ideas on how to do this?
